Waste Water Treatment Plant
The Chetek wastewater treatment facility provides primary treatment and secondary treatment by rotating biological contactors, chemical phosphorus removal and final clarification. Seasonal disinfection is provided through an ultraviolet disinfection system. Effluent is discharged to the Chetek River. Biosolids are treated in an anaerobic digester. The biosolids from the digester are stored in a holding tank and then spread as a soil conditioner on approved sites.
